چکیده

A computational fluid–solid dynamic model is employed to simulate the interaction between water waves and a consolidated ice cover. The solves Navier–Stokes equations for ocean-wave flow around solid body, behavior formalized by Maxwell viscoelastic model. Model predictions are compared against experimental flume tests of interacting with plates. decay rate wave dispersion predicted shown be in good agreement results. Furthermore, scaled, simulating an actual sea cover formed ocean. scaled results found still valid full scale. It that proportional quadratic frequency long waves, whilst biquadrate short waves. former likely effect, latter related energy damping caused fluid motion. Overall, modeling approach present paper expected provide new insights into wave–ice interactions help researchers dynamically similar fluid–structure high fidelity.

Teacher-Student Classroom Interactions: A Computational Approach

Teacher-student interactions are key to most school-taught lessons. We present a new approach to studying these interactions; this approach is based on a fine-grained data collection, using quantitative field observations (QFOs), which relies on a well-established theoretical framework. The data collected can be analyzed in various methods to address different types of research questions; we gi...

Mutual interplay between interactions of pi electrons with simultaneous σ-hole interactions: A computational Study

In this study, the role of interaction of pi electrons on the strength of simultaneous σ-hole interactions (pnicogen, chalcogen and halogen bonds) is investigated using the quantum chemical calculations. X-ben||TAZ∙∙∙Y1,Y2,Y3 complexes (X = CN, F, Cl, Br, CH3 , OH and NH2, TAZ= s-triazine and Y1,Y2 and Y3 denotes PH2F, HSF, and ClF molecules) is introduced as a model. The results show that inte...

A computational approach to dynamic bipedal walking

The main contribution of this work is a general method for stabilization of periodic orbits for hybrid systems with impact effects. Our primary motivation is controller synthesis for walking robots, but the method can be also applied to problems such as flight control or automotive control. Limit cycles of hybrid systems are characterized by the fact that they span different dynamic regimes. Fo...

Dynamic response determination of viscoelastic annular plates using FSDT – perturbation approach

In this paper, the transient response of a viscoelastic annular plate which has time-dependent properties is determined mathematically under dynamic transverse load. The axisymmetric conditions are considered in the problem. The viscoelastic properties obey the standard linear solid model in shear and the bulk behavior in elastic. The equations of motion are extracted using Hamilton’s principle...

A Computational Study of Viscoelastic Droplet Collisions

A computational study of oblique binary viscoelastic droplet collisions is performed. The free surface is modeled by a Lagrangian moving-mesh interface tracking method which is validated against analytical solutions and experimental data for binary Newtonian droplet collisions. Interpolation error due to cell deformation is minimized with a local topological mesh adaptation algorithm. This meth...
